Nourish Your Soul Through a Symphony of Light and Colour!
In the late fall of 2019 I went through a spiritual journey and came through being able to verbalize what my mission and purpose is as stated above. In this discovery I began seeing patterns throughout my life of being told at an early age continuing on through adulthood that who I am, what I think is not right, not acceptable. I was not accepted by family, churches I attended and ultimately by God. Having a father tell me that I am no longer his son years ago still resonates even though he later apologized, not because it was wrong of him to not accept me, but because it was “not Christ like.” My very being was not accepted.
Looking back I also saw what kept me going: Creating; listening to symphonic/ classical music; playing Viola; sitting on a huge boulder overlooking Beluga oint watching the ocean, mountains, and wildlife; bicycling; mesmerized at stained glass; and other things that nourished my soul, my being.
Creating has been a part of me since I can remember. Eventually, two mediums resonated with me- oil painting and stained glass.
I have been installing glasswork in client’s homes for over 25 years and have always been awed at the responses and looks on their faces when the glasswork is in place. They have a look of joy, being filled, spiritually being nourished. I have had a sense of it, could never really describe it and have finally realized going through this journey that I am to help others nourish their soul, their being, through my artwork.
